After spending more than four decades in the picture business, cr8vstrategy founder Paul H. Henning has concluded that those who succeed in any creative endeavor are usually those who have the best information and apply it both wisely and relentlessly.
With that in mind, Paul is always eager to share his knowledge with others: “When I started in the stock picture business I knew next to nothing about it, but I learned a massive amount by attending seminars and seeking out the folks who were already established in the industry. I often found those people to be to be extremely generous in sharing their knowledge, and I’m simply trying to emulate their example.”
Since the late 1980’s Henning has been a frequent teacher, writer, panelist, moderator and presenter on the subject of the picture industry and has regularly appeared before audiences at photo trade shows and association meetings. In May of 2002 he was a featured presenter at the annual CEPIC Congress held in Budapest, Hungary and one year later chaired a packed breakout session on keywording at CEPIC’s ’03 meeting in Lisbon, Portugal. He has presented sessions on succeeding in stock imagery to the Society of American Travel Writers’ “Institutes for Digital Travel Photography” held in both Lake Louise, Alberta and Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well as moderating the “Education & Networking” events hosted by the American Society of Picture Professionals Midwest Chapter in Chicago in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

He has also taught at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
